The 77's newest compilation disc, "Late," features the "EP" and "Radioactive Singles" tracks plus previously unreleased alternate versions of material from "tom tom Blues" and "The Boat Ashore."

Also showcased are unreleased tracks from frontman Michael Roe's recent "It's For You" project. When asked about the title, a smiling Roe indicated, "The word means a lot of things to us. It's the way we say goodbye out here (in California); and it's a word to which we've never been a stranger." "Late" was an unexpected, surprise release that is the result of Family Bookstore's desire to reintroduce the 77's to their market. A brilliant surprise indeed!
