MICHAEL ROE ON MP3.COM

Roe has recently posted to his mp3.com page a new single from "Say Your Prayers." Interested fans and curious pleasure seekers can download, "Lutheran Hymn," at www.MP3.com/michaelroe. For those of you unfamiliar with Roe's new acoustic work, "Lutheran Hymn" is a fitting, and free, introduction.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME...

Finally, we are genuinely excited to introduce you to the all new Michael Roe fan club, "Roesbud." Much like the 77's fan club, "The Bottom Line," fans who join can expect to receive two (2) fan only, exclusive releases each year. Releases may include live bootlegs, unreleased singles, alternate mixes and obscure basement tracks. Each release, however, will be exclusive to the club and will not be released to any other outlet or offer for sale at any other establishment. The discs may be expected around Christmas and Cornerstone each year. Memberships may be purchased at www.MichaelRoe.com for an initial cost of $20.00. Membership may annually be renewed for a fee of $15.00. Memberships may be purchased immediately.

As always, thank you for your continual and considerable support of all things Sevens.

NEW SINGLE, 10 SONGS BY ADAM AGAIN & BRIAN WILSON:

This is just a quick note to let you know that the 77's latest single "Dig My Heels" (from their new EP "Direct") is now available for download in MP3 format from . feel free to download it every day if you want and help the 77's earn a little money at the same time... apparently only one download per day per person will count. there are also some other cool things on that page if you haven't looked lately.

if you don't want to receive 77's announcements any longer for some reason or would prefer to have them go to a different address (or even to multiple addresses!) just reply to this e-mail and let me know.

a couple of other notes:

* Jeff Kotthoff and Lo-Fidelity Records have re-issued 10 Songs by Adam Again. This is not a bootleg, this is a re-issue of the original art and audio and has been licensed through KMG Records. Jeff will be selling the disc at the Warm & Filled merch booth at CStone. For those not attending CStone, we will later sell it through both the 77s and Michael Roe webstores.

* The Lost Dogs are on a special Brian Wilson tribute album called "Making God Smile" but you have to get the 2 disc version which apparently is only available from PasteMusic.com. they did a cover of "With Me Tonight".

That's it - thanks for reading and if you'll be at Cornerstone i'll see you there...

ORBIS, DIRECT, AND SAY YOUR PRAYERS UPDATES / FESTIVAL INFO:

"ORBIS" HAS LANDED

The long awaited second instrumental offering from Michael Roe and Mark Harmon has landed. "Orbis" is now available at the webstores at http://www.77s.com/ and http://www.MichaelRoe.com/. The disc was originally conceived as a soundtrack to a manned space mission gone awry. As our hero Spaceman 7 escapes Earth's atmosphere, he loses contact with Ground Control and veers deep into outer space without a flight plan. This leads him to bright stars, Mars bars, funky planets, cosmic discotheques, space cowgirls, and even an encounter with Some Young Moon, all of which are illustrated musically with beautifully mysterious bass looping and guitar improvisation.

"I'm convinced that those of you who enjoyed "Daydream" will fall in love with "Orbis" if you give yourself the time and space to do so," states Roe. "This may require patience and an open mind, but the reward will be great -- after nearly three years Mark and I are still totally addicted to listening to it, and we hear something new in it every time."

"Daydream," the first instrumental installment, is also available on line at www.77s.com and www.MichaelRoe.com.

"DIRECT" UPDATE

Recording, mixing and mastering of the 77's new 6 song ep, "Direct," have been completed. The project is presently being manufactured by Nashville Compact Disc. A release date of July 3, 2002 was earlier confirmed by NCD. While the project will first be available at Cornerstone 2002, fans may begin to order "Direct" on line at www.77s.com on July 1, 2002, for a price of $12.00. The disc will then begin to ship on July 9, 2002, upon return from Cornerstone Festival.

All new material, all new directions. Surprising everyone, including management, with an ep so hot on the heels of "A Golden Field of Radioactive Crows," the 77's 2001 summer release, the new ep sees the 77's moving in exciting new musical directions. "Direct" was recorded and produced by the 77's. Brian Heydn, now an art fixture himself, provided the disc's graphics. Fools of the World will release the ep in complete packaging and initial distribution will be provided by the band. Once the 77's have had the opportunity to distribute the ep to the fans, a distribution agreement is anticipated with Dan Michaels and Galaxy 21.

Tracks include:

Born on Separate Days
Perfect
Roesbud
Dig My Heels
Lifeline
Take Your Mind Off It

"SAY YOUR PRAYERS" UPDATE

As with "Direct," "Say Your Prayers" has been completed and is now being manufactured. A July 3, 2002 street release was confirmed recently by Nashville Compact Disc. The project will first be available at Cornerstone 2002. However, fans may begin to order the disc on July 1, 2002, for a price of $15.00. The project will begin to ship upon our return from the festival, July 9, 2002.

Nearly five years since the release of his last studio solo album, Roe returns with an eight song treasure entitled, "Say Your Prayers." Written, recorded and studio produced by Roe himself, "Say Your Prayers," features a stellar vocal and acoustic guitar performance by the artist who gave us, "Come and Gone," "The Treasure in You," "Hold Dearly to Me," and "Ache Beautiful." "Say Your Prayers," is rich in lyrical content as it mines the soulscape of Michael Roe ("I fear looking forward, but I can't look back.").

Tracks include:

The Itch is Back
What Holds On
Sunshine Down
Sit in the Silence
20 Years Gone
Lutheran Hymn
Say Your Prayers
Hobo Messiah

THE 77S DIRECT, ORBIS UPDATE, SAY YOUR PRAYERS, THE TRUE ALTERNATIVE TOUR & CORNERSTONE 2002!:

Orbis to Ship!
"Orbis" is soon to arrive. Today we learned from our manufacturing plant that we can expect to have "Orbis" in hand on June 7. As such, pre-orders will be filled and shipped prior to Cornerstone. In fact, it is our desire to have all pre-orders in the mail on or before the 15th of June, 2002. However, in the event you wish to retrieve your copy at Cornerstone 2002, you are certainly welcome to do so. Just write to audiori@77s.com to inform us that you will want your copy at CStone. Otherwise, all orders will be shipped by mid-June. "Orbis" will be available for sale on www.77s.com and www.MichaelRoe.com as soon as all pre-orders have been shipped. It will also be sold at the Warm & Filled booth in the main exhibition hall at Cornerstone. Please stop by.

For those of you just tuning in, "Orbis," the second instrumental album by Michael Roe and Mark Harmon, was originally conceived as a soundtrack to a manned space mission gone awry. As our hero, Spaceman 7, escapes Earth's atmosphere, he loses contact with Ground Control and veers deep into outer space without a flight plan. This leads him to bright stars, Mars bars, funky planets, cosmic discotheques, space cowgirls, and even an encounter with Some Young Moon, all of which are illustrated musically with beautifully mysterious bass looping and guitar improvisation. "This may require patience and an open mind, but the reward will be great -- after nearly three years Mark and I are still totally addicted to listening to it, and we hear something new in it every time."

Visit www.77s.com and www.MichaelRoe.com to view the album's artwork.

"Direct" forom the band -- New 77's ep!
And we're hoping in time for Cornerstone! We anticipate a July 3, 2002 release of this planned five (5) song ep, "Direct." All new material, all new directions. Surprising everyone, including management, with an ep so hot on the heels of "A Golden Field of Radioactive Crows," the 77's 2001 summer release, the new ep sees the 77's moving in exciting new musical directions. "Direct" will be recorded and produced by the 77's and will sell for $10.00. Brian Heydn, now an art fixture himself, will provide the disc's graphics. Fools of the World will release the ep in complete packaging and initial distribution will be provided by the band. Once the 77's have had the opportunity to distribute the ep to the fans, a distribution agreement is anticipated with Dan Michaels and Galaxy 21.

Visit www.77s.com to view the album's artwork.

"Say your Prayers," It's a New Michael Roe Release!
Too good to be true? Too long the wait?! We aren't kidding -- nearly five (5) years since the release of his last studio solo album, Roe returns with a ten (10) song treasure entitled, "Say Your Prayers." Written, recorded and studio produced by Roe himself, "Say Your Prayers," features a stellar vocal and acoustic guitar performance by the artist who gave us, "Come and Gone," "The Treasure in You," "Hold Dearly to Me," and "Ache Beautiful." "Say Your Prayers," is rich in lyrical content as it mines the soulscape of Michael Roe ("I fear looking forward, but I can't look back.") Stylistically, comparisions have included Nick Drake and Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters). Comparisons notwithstanding, the release is genuine, soulful and heartfelt Roe.

Discussing the disc's title, Roe said, "I like the title. 'Say Your Prayers.' It's something our mothers told us to do; and it's something we hear before the thug is gonna take you out! It fits every part of my persona -- the humor, the irony, the seriousness."

The album will no doubt resonate with fans longing for the depth of "Safe As Milk" and the beauty of original Roe-penned tunes. "Say Your Prayers," like "Direct" will be released July 3, 2002, at the Cornerstone festival.

Visit www.MichaelRoe.com to view the album's artwork.

The "True Alternative" Tour!
A revolutionary idea in the presentation of intelligent, adult alternative music. The "True Alternative" tour will feature solo sets by Michael Roe, Terry Scott Taylor and Derri Daugherty all performing new songs from their upcoming 2002 solo releases (Taylor's "Little, Big" and "Big," Roe's, "Say your Prayers," and Daugherty's yet untitled solo ep). Roe will open the show. As he finishes his set, Taylor will reach the stage and begin his show while accompanied by Roe. As Taylor ends his gig, Daugherty will begin his, accompanied by both Roe and Taylor. At the conclusion of Daugherty's set, all three will remain on stage for a full Lost Dogs' performance. All sets will feature brand new material as the Lost Dogs will also be releasing, on BEC Records, a new album this early fall to coincide with this tour. All solo, Lost Dogs and other band (77's, DA and Choir) merchandise will be available on this tour. Additionally, True Alternative merchandise, including compilation discs with alternate mixes, will be ready for sale.

The tour is being made available, at a *very* reasonable cost, to all interested promoters. This will be an extended tour crossing the greater part of the nation. Interested promoters wishing to book this complete show at substantial savings, should contact either JT (jt@77s.com) or Tim White (tim@wildwoodagency.com) for details. Promoters will be provided support from Wildwood Agency and Warm & Filled in the form of email blasts and announcements, tour posters, recorded radio spots, artist interviews, glossy photos, one sheets, full promotional packages, street team assistance and more.

Tour dates are as follows:
September 20 through October 5, 2002 (16 dates in the Mountain States and Southern States);
October 18 through October 30, 2002 (13 dates in the Mid-West and possible East Coast); and

Cornerstone 2002 Festival, Bushnell, IL --

For those of you still open for suggestions as to summer vacation plans, we suggest Cornerstone 2002 in Bushnell, IL! The 77's, Michael Roe, Daniel Amos, Terry Scott Taylor, and the Lost Dogs have all been confirmed for the July festival. As usual, the Cornerstone festival will take place at the JPUSA/Cornerstone Farm in Bushnell, IL during the first week of July, 2002. As specific dates and stages are confirmed, details will be posted to all Warm & Filled and artist websites (as well as the official Cornerstone website -- http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/). Your favorite artists and Warm & Filled will have a major presence at the fest and you can visit us at our booths in the main Exhibition tent just across from the food vendors and the volleyball courts.

MichaelRoe.com to Launch --

On February 14, 2002, http://www.MichaelRoe.com/ will launch! Of course, you have come to expect only the highest quality and best maintained websites from the Warm & Filled family of artists. And you have come to expect lively debates and intelligent exchanges of ideas on the related bulletin boards and live webchats. MichaelRoe.com will exceed your expectations and more! While MichaelRoe.com will feature the customary product updates, live show details, discography, biography and related information, the website will also be haunted by Roe himself. Designed as a website by which Roe would interact with the fans, it will include not only a bulletin board service, but also Roe's pictures, quotes, articles, and musings of the week. Regular webchats with Roe will be held and direct communication between Roe and the fans will be encouraged by all. Michael himself has had a major hand in the design and structure of the site and recently indicated his excitement regarding the launch. Says Roe, "For a long time I've wanted a website where I can add a personal touch -- quotes, internet articles of interest, pictures of the week, and all that. I've wanted something that is personal to me and which I can share with the fans. I like the idea of real contact. This is going to be *my* website!"

And that's not all! One of the site's focal points will be it's extensive Michael Roe bootleg catalog! That's right, years and years of high quality ADAT recordings and bootlegs of Michael's solo shows have been cataloged by date, venue, city, state and song. Through the webstore at http://www.MichaelRoe.com/, fans will be able to purchase their favorite bootleg by show, tour or song. If you want a particular show -- you've got it! If you want a particular song (or various versions of that same song) -- you've got it! If you want to make your own bootleg containing your favorite songs from many shows -- you've got it! It's this simple -- browse the archives and catalogs, tell us what show, shows or songs you want to purchase, and we will burn an exclusive CD-R for you, complete it with artwork and track listing, and mail it to you from our webstore. New bootlegs will be added each month as the archives grow. Both private and public recordings will be featured! Been looking for that specific, elusive bootleg for years? Look no further than MichaelRoe.com -- launching in mid-February, 2002.

77's and Daniel Amos Sign Internet Distribution Agreement with Paste --

We are both honored and pleased announce that Paste Music http://www.pastemusic.com/ will be distributing all new material by both Daniel Amos and the 77's. Under separate agreement with BEC Records, Paste has also begun to distribute the Americana stylings of the Lost Dogs. Of particular import to both the Sevens and DA is that Paste is a mainstream market distributor, thus affording us general market opportunities and exposure. While we encourage all fans to first shop at our webstores, Paste Music will provide distribution to potential new fans, those unfamiliar with our websites and others. Check out http://www.pastemusic.com/.

Additionally, we've always said that we won't "sell" your email addresses and we will continue to abide by that promise. However, as we have solidified our internet distribution agreement with Paste, we will need to share with them all email addresses from folks and fans interested in Paste Music, the other artists they distribute and our artist's news and marketing through Paste. Paste will send you all a welcome letter, and likely add you to their lists so that you'll get weekly updates from them. They're an excellent, honest general market company that has a great inventory of music (including Americana, Rock, Jazz, Pop, Bluegrass and more) and you can unsubscribe from their email list at any time if you later change your mind. Now, if you DO NOT WANT THIS, don't do anything and your name and email address WILL NOT be provided to Paste. Otherwise, if you are interested, please send an email to Eric and Jason Townsend at audiori@77s.com and let them know of your interest and we will provide your name and email address to Paste. As a personal note of encouragement, please know that the more fans interested in joining the Paste email list the better our initial marketing and exposure -- the more names we can provide, the more marketing and advertisement Paste will provide. (BTW - you can sign up again even if you're already on their mailing list so the W&F roster will get more exposure - they'll weed out the duplicates.)

The Lost Dogs to Be Featured in Movie and On Soundtrack --

The Lost Dogs song "Golden Dreams" from their latest BEC release, "Real Men Cry," will be featured in the upcoming motion picture "Joshua", starring F. Murray Abraham (who received an Oscar for his work in the film "Amadeus"). "Joshua" is set to release this Spring on over 1,200 screens. The song will also be on the "Joshua" movie soundtrack, which will be released on March 5, 2002 through Word Records. The Dogs will be featured alongside Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Phil Keaggy, Jaci Velasquez and others including yet-to-be-named country music stars.

Our Friends, The Choir, Have Been Nominated for a Grammy --

Innovative and influential Christian rock band The Choir received their first Grammy nomination ever on Friday January 4th 2002, announced as part of the Recording Academy's 44th Annual Grammy Awards Nominee Announcement. Their latest album, Flap Your Wings, is being considered for Best Rock Gospel Album, along with Solo by DC Talk, T-Bone's The Last Street Preacha, a live album by Big Tent Revival, and Sonicpraise by Sonicflood.

Although the group has been recording for almost twenty years, this is the first time they have been recognized by the Recording Academy. Their previous release, Free Flying Soul, won the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award for Best Modern Rock Album in 1997. Flap Your Wings was released independently by the group's own Galaxy21 Music, and is available online at http://www.thechoir.net/ and at retail outlets nationwide. The album, the band's tenth full-length recording and the debut album for the label, was met with critical praise and garnered grassroots support nationally.

While it isn't yet understood how the album placed out front for the voting members of the academy, the band is both overwhelmed and grateful for the nomination after twenty years of toiling under the radar. "What a complete shock!" said lead singer and guitarist Derri Daugherty. "It's hard to believe this happened". "What a great surprise," adds drummer and lyricist Steve Hindalong. "Sure, it's pure lunacy...We all realize that. Flap Your Wings is pretty much Indy. No budget, really. Just 16 tracks of ADAT. A couple of weekends and a few scattered days in Derri's basement. A Grammy nomination?! Hmmm. Mystifying. Anyhow, we're proud of the album. Hopefully more people will check it out now."

Michaels expressed wild astonishment when he heard the announcement, adding that the band is "indebted to those who voted to nominate this record as it gave me hope that there are people that listened and cared about this quiet release. I'm proud of this record and feel it is among our best work, but could never have imagined that it would be nominated for such an honor."

Our Friend, Riki Michele, Releases a New Album --

Adam Again member and solo artist Riki Michele has just released a new album entitled "Surround Me." This disc, her third, was produced and engineered by Julian Kindred (The Choir, City On A Hill), and features appearances and contributions from Steve Hindalong (The Choir), Mark Byrd (Common Children), Tim Chandler (Daniel Amos / The Choir), Kevin Robinson (Viva Voce and Francis), James Gregory (Bullets Of Orange) and others.

"Surround Me" is a classy-funk, chill-out, electro-soul party, blending elements of trip-hop, dub, funk, soul and ethereal pop. Riki has always been known for exploring progressive music with a soulful, funky beat, and this latest effort finds her mining new territory once again. Fans of Everything But The Girl, Dido, Sade, Esthero, Bill Withers, Kate Bush and Ian Pooley will find plenty to love with "Surround Me."

Online e-zine THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH has praised the album, with such wonderful press material copy as: "... this is a perfect album, there is not one thing wrong with it... [Riki] has a voice that is pure, sweet and sensual all at the same time... It has the kind of vibe that forces you to want to move around." 5 tocks (out of 5) Chris MacIntosh aka Grandfather Rock

The album is currently being shopped for a major label deal, but in the meantime, music fans in the know can find the CD at her web site: http://www.rikimichele.com/.

As always, thank you for your support, prayers and encouragement. Please direct questions and comments to JT.
