Just a note to let you know that the 77's, with special guest Jacobstone, will be touring from September 28 through October 14, 2001. Dates are presently being booked and confirmed shows have been scheduled for Atlanta, Chicago, Dayton, Columbia, MO and others. Potential dates are being negotiated for Detroit, San Antonio, Dallas, Ft. Worth and more. As usual, Warm & Filled is working in conjunction with Street Level Artist Agency (219.269.3413 streetlevel@kconline.com) to book and route the tour. Pacific Northwest and TX dates will be booked for October 26-28 and December 7-9. A few items to note: *The 77's and Jacobstone will be traveling with their own backline and production. It is likely that we will travel with our own sound engineer (Dave Leonhardt) as well. *The 77's are mounting a national advertising campaign to promote the tour. Advertisements will appear in CCM Magazine, 7Ball, HM, as well as Rolling Stone, Spin and Men's Health among others. Plans are to work together with well-known, influential artists that are interested in maintaining ownership of their music, aid in the marketing of their product, tour to support the release, and enjoy the creative and business freedoms in their pursuit of music and ministry. The current roster includes 77's, The Choir, Daniel Amos and Buck Enterprises. "All the bands on the label are good friends of mine," states Michaels. "I've known these guys for many years as we all saw our label deals come and go. Each of them are true artists who love God, love to create heartfelt and meaningful music, and love to play live. This is my opportunity to serve my fellow musicians and work on behalf of their music ministry with respect, love and enthusiasm." While each artist's arrangement with Galaxy21 Music is unique, the common thread is that all aspects of the recording, promotion, imaging, photography, conceptualization, and advertising of the project is jointly determined by the label and the band. They've both sang them, felt them and lived 'em. Now, they've got each other for company. This Spring, Madeira and Roe are collaborating on an all-new blues project to be released in late 2001. Both Mike and Phil will contribute original blues tunes as well as a good share of co-written tracks. Recording is expected to begin in April and the project will be available late this Fall.
